9 month pictures

Well, her pictures turned out okay. I am not super impressed, but I guess that it the way it goes with these studios. She wasn't really in the mood to be photographed. :) I think there are definitely some cute pictures, but overall I don't think they are much better than the ones we take of her. I know that down the road we will be happy to have so many pictures of her first year!

C has discovered how to make funny sounds when she puts her hand over her mouth and then takes it away. I like to think she is blowing kisses to me!

Saturday

On Saturday Kate, Brian, Bridget and Dillon came for a visit. We took the kids to the park and they had a lot of fun! Caroline isn't too interested in the playground, but she loves crawling around on the grass. There are all sorts of things to discover (and try and put in her mouth). I am looking forward to the day she can walk around so all her clothes (and her hands) won't be constantly dirty!
This afternoon I am taking her to get pictures taken so stay tuned for those!!

9 months

We had Caroline's 9 month check up the other day and she is doing great! She weighs 17 lbs 12 oz and is 28 inches. Her weight is in the 25th percentile, which concerned me a little, but the dr said it is fine. He told me that babies growth becomes more genetic at 6 months and you can't really compare baby to baby. Looking at Scott and me, she is just as he expected her to be. She is on track with all of her milestones and is a really happy baby. :)

C has learned to climb the stairs...a little scary for me! She does really well and loves climbing. Learning to go back down is going o be the tricky part!

Caroline being Caroline!! So much personality in such a little package! Scott put this video together yesterday. It is a little long but we have already watched it about 20 times!

So girly

I have been waiting 9 months to be able to put a bow in Caroline's hair. It really bugs me when people mistake her for a boy (especially when she is in all pink) and I have been wanting to put bows in her hair to make her look even more girly. :) Amy's mom gave me some bows for my shower and today was the first day one stayed in! I think it looks super cute and I was really excited. Who knew she could get any cuter?

Carolina beats Duke!

Last night UNC beat Duke! The game was on late so I only made it to half time (and Duke was winning at that point) but Scott stayed up to watch. Caroline is wearing her UNC shirt today to celebrate the win. :) We have tickets to see UNC vs Duke at the "Dean Dome" in March. Hopefully they win then too!

The many faces of Caroline

She may have her cranky moments (and who doesn't?) but one thing this little girl is not lacking is personality. She is so funny and makes me laugh all day! I try to get picturesof all of her funny faces...here are a few!

She got stuck under the exersaucer and her mean mom wanted to take a picture before helping her out. :)

sleep, glorious sleep :)

At 6 months, Caroline started sleeping through the night....about 11 or 12 hours. It was fantastic! Then came teeth. She has gotten 4 teeth in a row, had a cold for a month (on and off) and learned to stand, but not get down. These things all lead to one thing...no sleep for mom and dad! Poor girl would wake at night for whatever reason, stand up and then scream because she couldn't get down. I am happy to say that she can (finally) get her cute self down on her own! We have had to let her cry a bit at night, but she is sleeping again. Yay for sleep!
